Our school provision for Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) was setup in 2015. Formerly consisting of one class and known then as Seomra Bhríd, we now have two classes, one catering for younger primary age pupils and one for older primary pupils. Our overall aim is to help pupils with a diagnosis of ASD to integrate into mainstream classes. Pupils in these classes study the same subjects as children in mainstream and we endeavour to ensure that they part-take in whole school activities with their peers. Furthermore we try to supplement the educational experience to include additional group social activities like group nature walks, horse-riding as well as through attendance with peers at classes provided by visitors to the school.
